People wanted to know why he was shot instead of bein' arressted

December 30, 2008 12:29 PM (Original date when I wrote it for my Orkut Groups)

Mr Prakash Cariappa (Convener Sichrem) said "We will take up the case with the State Human Rights Commission."

Mr N Jagadeesh (Advocate Alternative, Law Forum) said "The right to self-defence is available for everyone. Under section 154 CrPC, it is a cognizable offence."

You dudes will wonder what I am talkin' 'bout. Here is the story which will touch your heart:

- - -
Mr Mohammed Mukarram Pasha, 19 yrs old, college stud who pursued B.Com. 1st year, was shot by military personnel while tryin' to hide 'n' escape from a Brigadier's house, after traffic police chased him for rash ridin'.

* * *

Here in B'lore, durin' week-ends 'n' festive season, youngsters will indulge in Drag Racin' at mid-night after they finish drinkin'. Similarly, Mukarram took part in Drag Racin' after normal Openin' Ceremony.

As he approached Ulsoor, police saw him doin' Wheelin' (back wheel on the road 'n' front wheel is up), over speed too. Police warned him to stop but he violated the law so that police chased him.

At some point, the bike skidded due to which he intruded a Brigadier's house so as to escape 'n' took guard on terrace of the house. Security guard asked him to surrender but he didn't give his ears. And he kept on callin' his friends 'n' family to secure him.

His cousin came with a car 'n' waited outside the house for him. Somewhat he managed to came down 'n' got out of the house. As he ran towards the car, he was shot by military personnel.

Points to ponder:

1. He violated the law but was it necessary for the guards to shoot him..?

2. Drag Racin' is not wrong as long as you don't create problems for others. Even it's wrong, he was un-armed. Therefore, he should have detained.

3. People wanted to know why he was shot instead of bein' arressted.

4. Since he had fear of consequences, he wasn't aware of takin' charge to react to this situation. As a result, it's sad that he had lost his life in an unfortunate incident.

5. Nothin' will give this wonderful boy back to his parents.
